Vivienne Westwood's Red Label collection 2010

Anyone who reads this blog knows that Vivienne Westwood is my favorite designer.  I think most of all, I really like Vivienne herself, and her designs look like the embodiment of her life and personality.  These clothes definitely have an English look to them.  Some look like soccer uniforms that were altered and embellished by artsy punky people.  I also really like the drapiness of many of the clothes and fabrics.  I hope that I can be half as successful in old age as Vivienne. (I'm fifty years old now!)

Vivienne Westwood Red Label: Spring 2010

One of my consistently favorite designers is Vivienne Westwood. Sometimes called the "Queen Mother on Crack" she continues to design in the punk-rebel tradition. This is the first time I can remember seeing a female model with a shaved head in a major fashion show. If this becomes a popular trend, I might try shaving my head this summer! Anyway, some of the outfits were too kooky even for me, but I thought some of these were pretty cool. I really like the pastel colors and prints, and the interesting unusual shapes. I wish I could afford to buy some of these clothes.
