John Galliano's wild hat-hair

I've been in the mood to look at wild and crazy hats lately, and so this collection, from style.com definitely caught my eye. I love the colors and the dresses are very cute. The hair and hats are a little too crazy, but I might be interested in wearing a normal size version of some of these! Anyway, its nice to know that some designers don't always take themselves too seriously.

Marc by Marc Jacobs, Spring 2009

I like almost everything by Marc Jacobs, but his Spring 2009 collection is really cute. I particularly love the patent leather flats with the lace up ankles. The bright colors are great and the shapes are breezy and carefree.
I'm glad that slightly baggy jeans are coming back in style. They look cute rolled up with some realy great shoes.

Twilight movie gifts at Borders

Today I see that Borders.com has gifts related to the Twilight movie. There are t-shirts with pictures of the characters and jewelry similar to that worn by the characters that has the Cullen family crest on it. I wonder what other vampire looks are going to be coming in style?

I'm excited about the Twilight movie

I'm looking forward to seeing the Twilight movie this weekend. I have read the entire book series and it was so good i could hardly put it down. It will be interesting to see if the characters look at all like I had imagined. The vampires are supposed to be realy good looking. According to the story, it is to attact their human prey. In the previews, I have seen plenty of pictures of Edward, but none of Jacob, who is a competing love interest in the book. I'm wondering if his role has been diminished for the movie version. Usually I'm disappointed in the movie if I've read the book. For example, I was realy disappointed in the movie Eragon, which was quite different from the book. On the other hand, the Harry Potter movies seemed to do a good job of capturing the characters pretty much as I imagined them.
Since this is a fashion blog, I would like to make a prediction. I predict that vampire hair and makeup will be big in the next few months. You read it here first!

Designer Russian Dolls

Here's a cute idea. Some famous fashion designers designed Russian dolls to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Russian Vogue. Can you guess which desinger is which? Top is Versace, next is Oscar de la Renta, next is Ralph Lauren, and the white one is Antonio Marras.

The small one is by Gucci. These were some of my favorites, but you can see all 31 at the English Vogue website, www.vogue.co.uk.

I'm in the mood for fun hats

Here are some really fun fur hats that I found at etsy.com, in the shop called mspresto. It's cold here today and I could really use some good warm hats. The fake fur used in these looks expensive and luxurious. One thing that I like is that it almost doubles as a funky hairstyle for those of us whose hair is very thin!

More wild and Crazy hats from Vogue France

These hats are from the Vogue France website, www.vogue.fr. I particularly like the tall furry hats. I wonder if I could make something similar with fake fur from Walmart?

I like fun glasses

I have worn glasses my whole life and they have become a part of my "image." I have my own unique style. The glasses I have been wearing lately are very attractive and were designed by Vera Wang, but are not very unique or unusual. I really like glasses that make a strong statement. After all, its one of the first things that people notice about me. I have never understood how women could have lots of shoes but only one pair of glasses. Anyway, today I ordered these handmade British plastic frames from eyeglass.com. They carry a lot of retro and vintage classics that were worn by movie stars and other style icons. Check it out!

Leggings for Spring 2009

I don't usually wear leggings but when I saw these on Style.com, I might be interested in trying some.
