Stolen Girlfriends Club clothing is inspiring

As I was surfing the net, I noticed that http://fashiontoast.com/ was t
he most popuoar blog on http://www.bloglovin.com/ so I thought that I would check it out. I found these pictures from the Stolen Girlfriends club (http://www.stolengirlfriendsclun.com/). The sweater gives me the inspiration to make a sweater for fall with swingy fringe. Also love the boot covers, or whatever you call those things on the bottom of their pants legs. It wouldn't be too hard to make something similar.

Nakarastyle dance clothing at Etsy

As I was surfing the web I came across these funky dance clothes from http://www.nakarastyle.etsy.com/. I am taking both bellydancing and flamenco, and I could envision wearing these clothes for both!

Vivienne Westwood Shoes

I love these shoes by the original punk designer Vivienne Westwood. They are a bit expensive for my taste at $164, but if you think of it as a piece of pop art, it seems like a bargain. They come in red and gold as well. They are also a "green" product, being made a recycled plastic!

Christopher Kane's Spring 2010 collection

I really like these breezy print dresses. I don't think that I've seen gingham dresses since I was a kid back in the 60s. I'm particularly impressed that the designer, Christopher Kane is only 27 years old. (photos from http://www.style.com)

Nine West has great boots for fall

Nine West has been a favorite of mine for several years because they have styles that are similar to the latest designer styles, but at a reasonable price. Here are some of my favorite boots for fall. To see more, go to their website at http://www.ninewest.com/

Love JCDC

You can't help but love a guy who has muppets and Andy Warhol featured on his clothing. This is JCDC from Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, the autumn/winter 09/10 collection from Paris Fashion Week. The line is described as " a pop-rock, playful, quality and affordable clothing line for a new generation. For more information, check out his web site at www.jc-de-castelbajac.com. Love it!

Rodarte Spring 2010

Rodarte consistently produces the best artsy clothes. This look is "goth" without looking like a Halloween costume. I love their originality.

Tabitha Simmons shoes

I love these shoes from designer Tabitha Simmons. They're little bit rock and roll, a little biker chick, but in a more sophisticasted way. These would like great with most of my fall wardrobe, which consists mostly of black, boot-cut jeans. (Photo from Style.com)

Marc Jacobs Spring 2010

How does Marc Jacobs continue to come up with such great styles season after season? I have been taking belly dance lessons for several months now and I love the costumes. I was interested to see that Marc Jacobs is using belly dance costumes for inspiration.

Here's a style I could try to make

When I was a kid back in the 60s and 70s we embellished our jeans. It would be a fun weekend project to do some embellishments like the ones shown here. Glad to see the look coming back and style. (photo from The Sartorialist)
