Custom-made Converse sneakers

Lately I have been thinking about making some customized Converse sneakers, and I finally figured out a design that I like. I decided to use a new pair of shoes, but get a fabric I like and attach the fabric to the sides with fabric glue. I thought about making a whole new upper for the shoe and I actually worked on a couple of prototype models, but I decided that this was faster, easier, and produces good results. Here's how they turned out. What do you think? I'm the only person in the world with purple batiked shoes like this!

Target graphic design t-shirts

I love Target graphic design t-shirts, and it looks like they have recently gotten some new ones in in my size at target.com, which is XXL. Here's some of the ones that I ordered. I usually like ones with either a flowery or rock-n-roll theme. Check it out!

Custom-made Boots like Vivienne Westwood

Lately I have noticed some stylish pictures of people wearing expensive boots with straps and buckles wrapped around them. Here, for example, is a pair by Vivienne Westwood. What if I took a less expensive pair of black boots and wrapped some straps with great buckles around them?

Candid Cool Blog Custom sneakers

Here's some sneakers from the Candid Cool website that look like they could have been custom made. The ones with the red tongue are pretty interesting, and it wouldn't be difficult to alter a pair of store bought sneakers to get this look.

Converse altered

Here is an interesting idea that I got from the Style Bubble website. I am working on making my own altered Converse Chuck Taylors, and this is really unique! (See picture on bottom left.) I think I could make the top part, but I'm not sure where I could get the platform soles. Anybody out there have any suggestions? On the other hand, on me those big platforms would probably just like like Frankenstein feet, not cute like in this picture.

Columbus (Ohio) Art Festival

Here are some of my favorite pictures taken at the Columbus Art Festival this past weekend. The quality of the art was very high, and most of it was pretty expensive! They moved it this year to the downtown area, and it was a lot easier to find a parking place nearby.

Record Album Cover purse

This past weekend I went to the Columbus, Ohio Art Festival. While I was there I saw this great purse, and I just had to have it! This is an actual album cover that's been laminated. This was the first record album I ever had and my Dad got it for me when I was in kindergarten, which was around 1964. I had this album for many years and played it over and over again.
