Indian brides are amazing

If I ever get married again, I think that I'm going to have to find an indian man so that I can wear one of these beautiful and exotic saris. Maybe I'll get one even if I'm not getting married. I'll just have to figure out someplace else to wear it. Maybe a good indian restaurant?

If you like wigs, I recommend this one

I bought this wig from Exceptionalhair.com and wanted to say that I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wig that is inexpensive and good quality. The hair is synthetic but it has a very realistic look when you see it in person. I have worn many wigs and hairpieces over the years and this one seems to be very comfortable and easy to wear. It also stays very securely on the head. I bought it to use sometimes as part of a dancing costume and I can flip it around quite a bit and it stays on my head really well. Whether you are looking for a wig to wear as a costume, or looking to cover hair loss, this is a good one.

If I were a rock star, I'd wear this...

These beautiful clothes are from designers Sinha and Stanic. It's their fall 2009 collection on style.com.

With all the great beading and feathers, they would have to be more than I could afford. But one can still dream...

Love this dancer: Sharon Kihara

This beautiful tribal belly dancer is Sharon Kihara. If you've never heard of her, I suggest you check her out on youtube. Her dancing and costumes are among the most beautiful I've ever seen. Her moves are amazingly beautiful and snakelike.

Russian folk scarves are work of art!

These wool and silk scarves are a form of traditional folk art from Russia. They are made at the Pavlovsky Posad factory near Moscow.

These wonderful works of art are still made in wool and silk and come in a variety of sizes and colors. At about $40, they are also a great bargain.

You can find these and similar scarves at www.russianlife.com and at www.rusclothing.com.

I am inspired by the artistry of Ukraine folk costumes

Creative inspiration can come from from lots of different sources. The last few days I have been interested in researching folk costumes from around the world. I started to become interested in this because of the tribal belly dance community, which borrows some folk styles from various cultures.

Some of these "folks" make beautiful clothes. I guess that they are spending more time sewing and less time watching TV and surfing the internet like I do!

My beautiful dance teacher

Here is my belly dance teacher at a restaurant where she dances sometimes. She is looking lovely in a costume that she designed and made herself.
