Old School Pinup Girl style

I really like this old school pinup dresses and hair styles.  These photos are from www.pinupgirlclothing.com.  I haven't bought anything from them yet, mostly because I'm not sure where I would wear it.  I also like to draw and paint pinup girls.  Maybe I'll buy a dress one of these days and use myself as a model.

Although I don't know Mr. Plunkett personally, we both live in the same small town of Athens Ohio.  I see him sometimes riding his bicycle around here.  I though I'd feature some of his more "fashionable" drawings today.

Great fashion illustrator J. Frederick Smith

An illustrator known for his depictions of beautiful women in love stories, J Frederick Smith did work for "Good Housekeeping" as well as other magazines. He was a native of California and in 1938 moved to the East Coast where he quickly found work in the illustration field. After serving in World War II, he signed with American Artists agency, and worked as a pin-up artist for "Esquire" and also did illustrations for calendars, playing cards, etc.
