Funky hairstyles

On some websites, they call this the emo look, which is short for emotional. I guess there is also music and other lifestyles that go with the look. I'll have to check it out to see if I'm a true "emo."

I really like short, funky hairdos. I wish I could do more with my hair, but its extremely thin, and seems to look about the same no matter what I do to it. Here are some pictures of what I would like to do to my hair!

Superhero fashion

I really enjoyed the article about how comic books are influencing fashion in the May version of Vogue Magazine (US). I was thinking that it would be fun to search the internet for photos of people that would make good comic book characters. Japanese street fashions should be easy. They are already heavily influenced by Japanese anime.

I love glasses

I usually like to look a little bit different from everybody else, and have my own unique style. I have several pairs of glasses in my current prescription in several different colors. I think it says that I am smart and fun, which is the impression that I like to give. Here are some pictures from Helsinki Finland (Hel-looks.com) that I like.

I love street style blogs!

I have just discovered street style blogs in the last few days and there are some really great ones out there. I think my favorite one is from Helsinki Finland. My grandfather actually immigrated to the United States from Finland as a baby, and I am thinking now that this is my kind of place. I would love to visit and check out the styles there. I was surprised to see how much the styles there are influenced by Japanese street styles. Who would have guessed? Anyway, here are some of my favorite looks from the site. I wish I had gret red hair like these gals!

What was she thinking?

This was from Jean Paul Gaultier's spring 2008 fashion show.

I drew these in the last couple of days. Some are from Nylon Magazine and the others are from the Spanish Vogue, March 2008. These drawings were first sketched in pencil, and then I used prismacolor art markers for the rest. These markers are expensive, but they give a professional look.

Great shoes

I really love these two pairs of shoes that I bought in the last couple of months. The pair on the top is from Anne Klein and I was able to buy them on sale at the local department store. The bottom pair are from the Miss Bisou collection at JC Penneys. I've gotten lots of complements on both of them!
