Wunderkind fashion designs suit my style

I love everything about this designer. These are clothes that I would actually wear. Love the hats, prints and baggy pants.

What I wore yesterday

Here is what I was wearing yesterday. The African pants were purchased from an African student who was working her way through college by selling clothes. The nail art is from our local salon.

Looking to Etro for something new for fall

The last few postings have generally been about spring fashions, but I'm in the mood to wear something new and different now. As you all know, the economy of the US is not so great right now, and once I pay my bills I don't have much money left for clothes, expecially not at the prices you would have to pay for these designer fashions. I have been a knitter since I was a young child, and I was thinking that it might be fun to try making something similar to Etro's shaggy vests and scarves. I also love the boots, especially the ankle high ones with buckles. I have noticed that it is much less expensive to buy motorcycle boots and jackets from motorcycle supply shops than it is from fashion stores.

Casual Kimono on Facehunter Blog

I saw this casual kimono today on the Facehunter blog and I really like it. This would be fairly easy to make, comfortable, and is casual enough for almost every day. Maybe I'll try to make one!

Susie at Style Bubble Blog looks cool as hell

If you have not yet checked out the Style Bubble blog, you should! Susie Bubble has something really great to say about fashion everyday, and her kooky outfits are outstanding. I particularly like these that she has posted the last few days.

Balmain's Spring Collection is Rock Chick's dream

I have loved the rock chick look for years, and tend to wear this style a lot. I love Balmain's latest colection because it looks like my style, but I'm inspired to add some new touches. I absolutely love the rhinestone sandals. If they are not available in my price range, I might try to make something similar!

Project Runway: Kurto wins, Suede offed

Last night was a fun competition on Project Runway. The designers were each assigned to design an outfit for one of the other designers that was inspired by a music genre. The winning designer was Kurto, who designed the punk rock outfit modeled by Suede. Suede was eliminated because his design for Jerell was not considered to be very creative or exciting. I thought Kenley should have been eliminated. She designed an outfit for Leeann that was supposed to be hip hop, but it didn't look at all hip hop, and the pants were poorly fitted. I am somewhat sorry to see Suede go. I always thought he had such a pleasant personality.
